FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Why should I use this coating?

A: By combining the Anti-microbial coating with regular cleaning and disinfecting, a venue can be sure it is implementing the highest standard of surface defence against harmful microbes. Unlike regular disinfectant which when touched is immediately compromised, our antimicrobial coating bonds to the surface for 90 days, killing any microbes with which it comes into contact thus rendering the surface touch-safe for the duration no matter how many times it is touched.

Q: How does it work?

A: The coating creates a very thin layer of ‘nanospikes’ that penetrate any virus or bacteria with which it comes into contact, thus destroying the cell.

Q: What does the anti-microbial coating protect against?

A: Our coating protects surfaces from a range of viruses, bacteria, mould, algae and odours. Also, the coating acts as a sacrificial layer of protection for the surface itself, protecting against micro-scratches and general wear and tear.

Q: Where can this coating be applied?

A: Our anti-microbial coating is a universal coating, meaning it is suited for all kinds of industries and environments, including indoor and outdoor environments. It adheres to a wide variety of surfaces including metals, plastics, ceramic, carpet, timber, upholstery, masks and uniforms. The coating is colourless and odourless by nature; therefore, it does not stain fabric materials and leaves no residue. It provides its users with an invisible shield of protection that is undetectable to the naked eye.

Q: Is this a replacement to regular cleaning and disinfecting?

A: No, this is an additional level of protection that continues to eliminate harmful microorganisms all day every day. Normal cleaning enables the coating to work most effectively but does not remove the coating. However, it can also remove odours and make the cleaning of the surface easier.

Q: How long does your coating last?

A: Our antimicrobial coating is fully functional for 90 days with top ups recommended on surfaces which have heavy communal use.

Q: What is the recommended application method?

A: We recommend that any surface or object is cleaned with normal anti-viral disinfectant before the coating is applied. It is applied using a specialist electrostatic sprayer by our accredited and trained staff. After a few minutes, the coating will be dry to the touch, however, we recommend you allow it 2 hours for the coating to completely bond to the surface.

Q: Is the product approved for use in the UK?

A: Yes, the coating conforms to EN14476 & ISO21702 standards; it has been registered in most of the European countries and are following the guidelines set out by ECHA (European Chemicals Agency). Furthermore, any premises which combine the coating with a rigorous cleaning regime, will be eligible to register with Safer Space®, an independent surface protection registry. Your premises will be listed on the registry as meeting the benchmark for a clean and safer environment. You can display this on your premises with a variety of stickers and a banner/link will be provided to you for posting on your website.  This should give customers and employees alike confidence that you have implemented the highest standard of infection protection against harmful microbes.
